6th Street & Ormsby Ave Light Installation (2019)

In 2019, CPW continued its on-going improvement project to install street lamps on residents property throughout the neighborhood.  Four lights were installed this go round, two on 6th Street and two on Ormsby Ave.

6th Street Sidewalk Restoration (2018)

In 2018, CPW partnered with Metro Government and was able to save a section of historic brick sidewalk along 6th St at Myrtle from being removed and replaced with concrete.  CPW was able to not only save a section of sidewalk, but restore a further section back to brick, by funding the purchase of materials and partnering with Metro to defray labor costs.

St. James Art Show Cafe (2016)

The highlight of fall in Old Louisville is always the Art Show and with live music, flowing wine and real food the CPW Cafe was always a good time (especially for the neighbors).

Summer Picnic (2016)

Fried chicken and good company on a summer afternoon - No wonder we all love our neighborhood!

St. James Art Show Cafe (2015)

In 2015 our little garden Cafe got a bit of a face lift thanks in no small part to the design skills of our then VP Ali Witsell.  Same great fun, but brand new look!

Easter Celebration on Floral Terrace (2014)

Nothing welcomes spring quite like an egg hunt and games under the dogwood blossoms at Easter.

Ormsby Court Light Installation (2011-2012)

In 2011 and 2012, CPW continued its on-going improvement project to install street lamps on residents property throughout the neighborhood. Three lights were installed on Ormsby Court.

Ormsby Court Gate/Entrance Restoration (2010)

In 2010, CPW worked to restore the gate and entryway onto Ormsby Court.

CLEANING UP!

Our neighbors are always happy to lend a hand to keep the neighborhood looking it's best.  Here is a few examples from a 6th Street clean up day a few years back.

Floral Terrace Alley Restoration (2008)

In 2008, CPW worked to restore the North-South alley of Floral Terrace.

6th Street and W Ormsby Trash Receptacles (2007)

In 2007, CPW installed trash receptacles on 6th Street and W Ormsby Ave.

St. James Art Show Cafe (2006)

It was always a lot of work, it almost always rained, but it was also always a lot of fun!  The CPW Cafe fundraiser took six months to plan and three days to go by in a blur, but afforded a great opportunity for our neighbors to all work together and make some memories.  Here are some pictures from the 2006 Cafe - It's inaugural year!

COMMUNITY YARD SALE FUNDRAISER (2005)

As always, the neighbors have a good time any time we get together for a community fundraiser or project.  In 2005, CPW had a community yard sale.

6th Street Urns (2003)

In 2003, CPW installed decorative cast iron urns along 6th Street.

6th Street Bus Stop Relocations (2003)

In 2003, CPW successfully lobbied to have the bus stops on 6th Street relocated.

Park Avenue Bollards (2003)

In 2003, CPW installed bollards on Park Avenue.

Retaining Wall Repaired - Floral Terrace & 7th Street (2003)

In 2003, CPW repaired the retaining wall at Floral Terrace and 7th Street.

Light Globes Replaced (2003)

In 2003, CPW replaced the light globes on Floral Terrace.

Park Avenue Water Spigot (2003)

In 2003, CPW raised the Ward Engineering water spigot on Park Avenue to grade and installed a timer.

Floral Terrace Alley Landscaped (2003)

In 2003, CPW landscaped the Floral Terrace  North-South alley and the 6th Street entrance to the alley.

In 2003, CPW installed decorative cast iron urns along the Floral Terrace  North-South alley.

In 2003, CPW refurbished the entrances to Floral Terrace at both 6th and 7th Streets.

In 2002, CPW landscaped the Park Avenue median.

Happy Holidays! (2000)

There is nothing our residents like better than getting together and sharing a meal and some laughs.  Strong neighborhoods are created though connection and friendship, so there is little doubt in the strength of CPW.  Here are some pictures from the 2000 Holiday Party.

Park Avenue Sidewalk Renovation (1998)

In 1998, CPW removed the sidewalk along Park Avenue bordering Ward Engineering and replaced it with landscaping.

Park Avenue Traffic Change (1998)

In 1998, CPW installed the landscaped median at Park Avenue and lobbied to have the West entrance to Park Avenue closed to thru traffic.

Tree Planting (1997)

In 1997, CPW planted new trees along 7th Street.

Floral Terrace Fountain (1997)

In 1997, CPW installed the fountain on Floral Terrace.

Floral Terrace Gates (1997)

In 1997, CPW installed gates and fencing at the entrances of Floral Terrace.
